Virgin Media offering discount on triple-play bundles
The deal is available in conjunction with Virgin's half-price promotion.

Virgin Media is offering a new one-off discount on its broadband, TV and home phone bundles.

New customers who sign up online for two of these services in a single package will receive a £30 reduction on their first bill, while those who opt for all three will be given £60 by the cable company.

The deal is available in conjunction with Virgin's existing half-price promotion, meaning consumers who subscribe to a broadband, TV and landline bundle can pay as little as £10 per month for the first half-year of their contract and have £60 credit applied to their first invoice.

Virgin has launched the special offer after revealing that it suffered a loss in customers during the second quarter of 2011.

Some 36,000 households left the cable company in the three months to June 30th, although 90 per cent of these disconnections were lower-value single and dual-play households.

The average spend of these customers was 16 per cent less than the typical Virgin Media subscriber.
