Hudson preparing for UK menswear relaunch
Hudson will re-enter the UK menswear market with a spring/summer 2012 collection.

US premium denim brand Hudson has announced plans to relaunch a menswear range in the UK after exiting the market three years ago.

The company is set to reintroduce relaxed fit, straight leg and class men's styles at 12 stockists across the country during spring/summer 2012, reports Drapers.

Fronted by model Georgia May Jagger, Hudson currently sells womenswear at House of Fraser, Figleaves, Harrods, Selfridges and other retailers, and claims to count Pippa Middleton and Rihanna among its famous fans.

Male celebrities to have sported Hudson jeans in the past include actor Jeremy Renner, star of 2008 war film The Hurt Locker, who has been spotted in New York wearing his pair of Sartor Slouchy Skinnys.

A spokeswoman from the firm explained: "In the men's market there is a return to a more clean premium denim and Hudson fits that requirement."

Hudson abandoned its wholesale menswear line in 2008 after creative director Ben Tavernitti opted to take the company in a different direction.
