Asda lauds Dell T4500 deal
The supermarket giant has secured the cut-price deal thanks to the buying power of Walmart.

Asda has taken advantage of its worldwide buying power to offer its lowest ever price for a laptop from a big-name brand featuring 3 GB of RAM, an Intel dual-core processor and a 320 GB hard-drive.

The Dell T4500 is available for £287 across 329 Asda supermarkets and via the company's online channel as of yesterday (August 10th 2011). When purchased direct from Dell, this model costs £349.

Plenty of stock of the computer has been secured by the retailer to support the offer, which has been made possible thanks to Asda's parent company Walmart, the world's top seller of laptops.

Other features of the T4500 include a 15.6-inch widescreen display and Intel integrated GMA 4500 MHD graphics.

Duncan Tate, laptop and computing expert at Asda, said: "We have teamed up with our Walmart colleagues to deliver this astounding deal. The Dell is perfect for any user and the offer is perfectly timed for the back-to-school period."
