Orange has secured the exclusive rights to sell the white model of Sony's forthcoming Xperia U smartphone when it hits the market in the UK.
One of the latest additions to the tech giant's NXT handset family, the Xperia U will feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen "reality display", a 1GHz dual-core processor and a five-megapixel camera with fast image capture support.
DLNA technology will allow users to stream music from the Xperia U to wireless speakers.
According to Orange, the white version of the device will be available at some point during the second quarter of 2012, with exact pricing and availability details to be published closer to the time.
It will be launched with the Android 2.3 operating system, but is set to be upgraded to Android 4.0 later in the year.
"Xperia U combines powerful Sony entertainment in a stylish and compact design that consumers can personalise inside and out," Sony commented.
Orange is also set to launch the HTC One X and HTC One S smartphones during the second quarter.
