Marks & Spencer (M&S) is offering customers the chance to save cash on its pet and home insurance deals by signing up online for a limited period.
Until February 29th 2012, consumers who choose one of M&S Money's home protection packages can enjoy savings of up to 30 per cent by joining via the web, while reductions of up to 25 per cent are available on its pet insurance deals.
Defaqto has awarded five-star ratings to M&S Money's premier home and pet insurance products.
Chief executive of the financial service provider Colin Kersley said the record sales and renewals achieved last year by its household cover package illustrate the quality of its insurance deals.
"Our customers care about their homes and their pets so we are offering valuable savings on these products for new customers until the end of February," he added.
The importance of quality home insurance was illustrated by M&S Money research published last November, which showed the damage caused to houses by winter weather was expected to exceed £600 million.
