Direct Line is set to slash the price of its home insurance products in its new year sale.
From tomorrow (January 4th 2012), the financial services provider will allow new home insurance customers to take advantage of an introductory 30 per cent discount, while a further saving of 20 per cent is available to those who sign up online.
The promotion, which is due to run until February 29th, applies to consumers who purchase buildings insurance, contents insurance or both together.
Savings will be applied to the home insurance premium and do not apply to any add-ons.
Stuart Curson, head of home insurance at Direct Line, commented: "After a Christmas spending spree, January is the perfect time to sort out your finances and home insurance is an important part of this."
Founded in 1985, Direct Line reached one million home insurance customers in September 2002 and achieved the same milestone with its breakdown products in November 2004.
